On December 27, 2003, activists from Deir Ballut Peace Camp and community members in the region came together to protest the Wall in Mas'ha that is imprisoning Munira's family and Palestinians all over the West Bank. Palestinians, Israelis, and Internationals (all wearing signs in Hebrew so the Palestinians could not be singled out) approached the gate of the Wall and began shaking it back and forth. The soldiers on the other side, alarmed by the shaking, shot live ammunition into the crowd, hitting Israeli activist and former soldier Gil Na'amati in the knee. Like the other protesters, Gil was armed only with his voice and conviction. For more info on the shooting, google "Gil Na'amati", "Mas'ha", 2003.
