During the 2003/2004 winter camp against the wall, Deir Ballut villagers joined with International and Israeli activists in marching to the village roadblock in an action against the wall. This occurred just a few days after a woman pregnant with twins and going into labor was prevented from crossing the checkpoint to get to a hospital at night because soldiers insisted that it was closed. Both babies died.
