David, an israeli activist from Rabbis for Human Rights, was the victim of a serious settler attack by Itamar settlers near Yanoun in late 2002. According to David, he was beaten repeatedly by two well-known violent settlers Avri and Victor all over his body with their rifles. Four nearby soldiers simply watched in silence, even when Avri struck david full-on in the face, tearing his nose and crushing part of his skull. The attackers were never punished for their crime. The fact that the attack was even recorded as having occurred David attributes to his being Jewish. Attacks on Palestinian civilians are rarely even acknowledged.
